The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.

Read 1000 Books before kindergarten

Children who have not yet started kindergarten are eligible to participate in the statewide 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program.

  • Sign up today at the Laurens County Library Children’s Center!

  • Enter your books on your reading log to track your child’s progress.

  • For each 100-book milestone, bring in your child’s reading log to receive a prize! When your child reaches 1000 books read, stop by the library and get a diploma and a special prize.

  • Do we need to read books only from the library? Nope, any age-appropriate books count! No matter where you get them or how many times you read them, they all count.
